El modelo DT830B es un multímetro digital básico, diseñado especialmente para estudiantes de nivel básico o personas aficionadas a la electrónica.
Este multímetro puede realizar mediciones de diferentes magnitudes como son: voltaje alterno (750 Vca) y directo (1000Vcc).
Cuenta también con escala para medición de corriente con protección mediante fusible de hasta 200mA, y con una terminal sin protección que soporta hasta 10 Amperes.
Adicionalmente cuenta escala para medición de resistencias desde 200 hasta 2M ohms. Como función especial cuenta con medición de ganancia para transistores (hFE), esta terminal también puede usarse para determinar el tipo y disposición de los pines de los transistores.
También incluye dos puntas tipo aguja recubiertas con material aislante, una en color rojo y otra en color negro, para realizar las diferentes mediciones.
